We all agree that a cup of hot chocolate remains one of the simplest pleasures for recharging in winter.
This homemade hot chocolate gains in flavor and texture. And when you add acai, you get an original, fruitier drink.
This article invites you to discover how to combine these two flavors we love so much!
Why you’ll love this recipe:
You’ll appreciate this hot chocolate first of all for its simplicity. It’s a recipe with few ingredients, quick preparation, and a result that immediately makes you feel good.
Acai brings a slightly fruity, deep, and distinctive touch that contrasts with the bitterness of dark chocolate. This combination creates an indulgent, smooth, and enveloping drink.
For professionals, this recipe becomes a genuine opportunity: a modern drink-dessert hybrid that is, above all, distinctive. Acai creates a signature flavor that attracts and surprises your customers.
How do you prepare truly creamy hot chocolate?
Truly creamy hot chocolate depends on the choice of ingredients, but also on the technique. To obtain this rich, traditional hot chocolate, here are the elements to consider:
Choose high-quality dark chocolate
Chocolate dominates the final flavor. Dark chocolate between 60% and 70% offers the best balance of flavors. It is rich enough to provide intensity, but not too bitter. This percentage of chocolate will suit all tastes.
Heat the mixture gently
Absolutely avoid bringing the milk to a boil. Heat it over low heat, then let the chocolate pieces melt. Remember to stir the mixture regularly to obtain a smooth, glossy preparation.
If you want a very quick version, you can also heat your milk in the microwave. Be careful not to boil it either. Then simply add the chocolate pieces and adjust the flavor according to your preferences.
Enhance it with a spice
Cinnamon pairs perfectly with chocolate and acai. It adds a soft, slightly woody aroma. You can also consider adding vanilla, a little cardamom, ginger, and so on. All combinations are possible with chocolate.
We also recently discovered that chili powder pairs very well with acai, so why not add a little to this hot chocolate!
These spices transform your drink, give it character, and allow you to create your own version of the perfect hot chocolate.
