At Nossa!, we love recipes that look impressive with very little effort. Because we know that between work, going out, and everyday life, we don't always feel like spending hours in the kitchen preparing dessert.
That's where our acai cheesecake verrine recipe comes in. It's an ultra-simple, no-bake recipe that's ready in just a few minutes and has that little something extra that makes everyone ask for more. The whole Nossa! team approved it!
And that little something, as you can imagine, is acai. This fruit comes straight from the Amazon, where we carefully process it to bring you organic, fair-trade puree with no added sugar, rich in antioxidants, and with an intense purple color that makes any dessert irresistible.
The simplicity and speed of verrine-style desserts
The verrine format changes everything. There's no need to worry about a cake holding its shape perfectly or spend hours monitoring it in the oven. Here, we layer, arrange, and enjoy our dessert. It's a simplified version of cheesecake that retains all its charm and indulgence.
And the layered assembly immediately creates a “wow” effect at the table. A biscuit base at the bottom, a creamy acai filling, then a little more biscuit and a finishing touch of red berries. Easy, quick, and guaranteed to impress every time.

Which biscuit should you use for the cheesecake base?
This is a question that often comes up when using biscuits in a cheesecake recipe.
The truth? Any dry biscuits will work. Speculoos, petit beurre biscuits, Breton butter biscuits, shortbread, and so on. You can even mix several types of biscuits to vary the flavors and textures.
And since we're talking about a verrine version here, you can give yourself even more freedom. The base doesn't need to be perfectly compact as it would for a classic cheesecake.
You can add a few pieces of brownie, leftover cake, or even granola. The important thing is to choose something you like that pairs well with the acai cream.
What is the best cheese for a cheesecake?
For a creamy, smooth cheesecake, Philadelphia-style cream cheese remains a classic. It has a firm yet melting texture and a neutral flavor that gives the acai plenty of room to shine.
But you can also opt for mascarpone if you want an even more indulgent result, or use a mixture of cream cheese and Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
And if you want to make a vegan cheesecake, that's entirely possible. You can use plant-based cream cheese, made with cashews or coconut, which is easy to find in organic stores.
You can also prepare a creamy base yourself by soaking cashews and blending them with a little plant-based milk and agave syrup. Acai works perfectly with these alternatives and retains all its flavor, whatever version you choose.
The ingredients we used
For our version, we used:

- 250 ml heavy cream, whipped
- 200 g Philadelphia-style cream cheese, at room temperature
- 100 g Nossa! acai puree
- 60 g powdered sugar
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp milk
- 3 tbsp solid coconut oil
- 120 g biscuits (speculoos, petit beurre biscuits, shortbread...)
And for the topping: a few red berries, especially raspberries for a little extra zing!
How to prepare your acai cheesecake verrines
Start by crumbling the biscuits you've chosen.
Next, prepare the cream: in a bowl, mix the cream cheese, whipped cream, powdered sugar, lemon juice, milk, and acai puree. The goal is to obtain a smooth, slightly airy texture that will bring all the softness to the dessert.
For assembly, alternate the layers: a biscuit base, a layer of acai cream, more biscuit, and then more cream. Finish with a few red berries for a fresh touch.
A minimum of two hours in the refrigerator allows the flavors to blend well and the cream to set just enough.
Why we love this recipe
Because it's quick to prepare, endlessly adaptable, and requires no special effort. It's the kind of recipe you can improvise one evening when you get home or prepare in advance for dinner with loved ones.
And acai is more than just an ingredient. It's a direct link to the Amazon, to the families who harvest it by hand, and to expertise passed down through generations. Nossa! acai is part of a value chain that we are committed to highlighting.
So, whatever your dietary preferences, give this verrine a try. You'll see: it checks all the boxes for the perfect dessert.
