Why enjoy an açai bowl in autumn?

As autumn arrives, we often crave warm recipes such as porridges, pancakes, or hot spiced drinks.

As for the açai bowl, with its frozen texture, it may seem at first glance to belong to summer. Yet it has every place in our autumn mornings, provided it is adapted to the flavors and needs of the season.

First, açai is packed with antioxidants that help strengthen the body's natural defenses as winter approaches. Its high fiber and healthy fat content also makes it an ally for maintaining steady energy throughout the morning, helping avoid energy slumps as the days become cooler and shorter.

In autumn, summer fruits can be replaced with caramelized apples, very ripe figs, grapes, or pears. Spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger add warmth and comfort, while walnuts, hazelnuts, and almonds add crunch. Delicious combinations for making plenty of açai bowls!
