Apple tart, a classic French dessert
Apple tart is rooted in French culinary tradition. It has become a staple thanks to its simplicity and the indulgence of this recipe.
Apple tart is loved for its versatility: each region and family adds its own personal touch, making it unique and adaptable to every season.
In autumn, during peak apple season, it embodies the ultimate comforting, family-friendly dessert. Few ingredients are needed to make this treat, which appeals to young and old alike.
The benefits of acai in an autumn dessert
As acai enthusiasts, at Nossa! we wanted to add a little twist so you can fully enjoy the combination of acai and apples. Acai adds a tangy note that balances the sweetness of the lightly caramelized apples.
In addition to adding a beautiful purple color to your dessert, acai is rich in antioxidants, fiber, and vitamins.
This tart is therefore not only a delicious dessert, but also beneficial for your health, making it ideal for ending an autumn meal on a light and original note.
Ideas for variations on an apple tart!
- Tarte tatin: An upside-down version in which the apples are caramelized before being covered with pastry, then baked upside down. Crisp and meltingly tender, it is irresistible served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- Apple and almond tart: To add crunch, sprinkle the tart base with flaked almonds or use an almond cream such as frangipane for a richer, more indulgent base.
- Apple and salted butter caramel tart: Drizzle salted butter caramel over the apples before baking. The combination of caramel and baked apples adds an unforgettable indulgent touch.
And of course, these variations on apple tart are just as delicious with our homemade acai coulis, made with only two ingredients.
