As temperatures rise, coffee is reinvented. More and more establishments are adding colder, gentler, and more natural versions to their menus.
Acai cold brew is part of this trend.
This cold-brewed coffee, already highly appreciated for its smoothness and lack of bitterness, becomes an ideal base for enhancing Nossa!'s acai puree.
By combining it with an acai cream, you get a modern summer drink that sets you apart.
How is cold brew made?
Cold brew differs from classic iced coffee in its extraction method. Here, there is no hot water, but a slow cold infusion.
Simply steep ground coffee in filtered water at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours.
This gentle method extracts the aromas gradually, without releasing the bitterness or acidity typical of hot-brewed coffee.
The result? A smooth, mellow, subtle, and refreshing coffee.
Cold brew is also more stable once prepared: it can be kept refrigerated for several days, making it very convenient for quick service in establishments.
Preparing a good cold brew requires little equipment or preparation. We recommend a ratio of 60g of ground coffee to 750 ml of filtered water, with a 16-hour infusion in the refrigerator.
What are the health benefits of cold coffee?
Beyond its taste, cold brew is also appealing for its digestive and functional properties.
Because it is cold-brewed, it contains fewer acids than traditional coffee, making it gentler on the stomach. It is a good option for customers sensitive to acidity or looking to limit their intake of overly strong beverages.
It also provides a more gradual energizing effect, with a relatively stable caffeine content that is released more slowly. It is the ideal ally for staying focused without the “stress spike” often associated with coffee.
Adding Nossa! acai purée, enriched with natural guarana, complements this stimulating effect while also providing:
- a high antioxidant content (particularly anthocyanins, protective pigments),
- fiber and healthy fats,
- a fruity flavor that naturally balances the taste of the coffee.
The result: an iced drink that is smooth, energizing and nutritionally appealing!
Acai cold brew recipe
Here is our version of acai cold brew:

Ingredients (for 1 glass)
- 100 to 150 ml cold brew (cold-brewed)
- 1 100 g sachet of Nossa! acai-guarana (thawed)
- 2 to 3 tsp heavy cream
- 2 tsp plant-based milk (or cow's milk)
- Ice cubes
Preparation
Start by preparing the cream by blending the acai sachet, heavy cream, milk and sugar until smooth and creamy. This mixture will serve as the cream topping for the iced coffee.
In a clear glass, add ice cubes, then pour in the well-chilled cold brew.
Then add the acai cream on top using a pouring glass. The goal is to keep the layers clearly visible for an indulgent visual result.
