This December, we’re delighted to welcome you to our warm and festive Christmas atmosphere. Totreat your taste buds, let’s dive into one of Brazil’s delicious traditional Christmas recipes: Rabanada!

A sweet treat of Portuguese origin, Rabanada has become an integral part of Brazilian Christmas celebrations. A symbol of generosity and togetherness, each golden slice embodies the history and shared love of this special time of year.

At Nossa, we’ve turned this tradition into an even more special experience: Our reimagined Rabanada comes with a unique twist— a serving of açaí, Brazil’s gem with its rich and invigorating flavors!

Ingredients for 4 people

(or 2 foodies):

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of cinnamon
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • A little vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 100 ml sweetened condensed milk
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 100 g acai in a pod
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup or another sweetener of your choice

 Easy recipe for French toast

  1. In three separate bowls, prepare the necessary ingredients. In the first bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon to create a sweet mixture. In the second bowl, combine the milk, condensed milk, and vanilla seeds. Finally, beat the eggs in the third bowl.

  2. Heat a skillet with vegetable oil, ready to cook these crispy treats.

  3. Dip each slice of bread first in the milk mixture, then in the beaten eggs, making sure they are well coated.

  4. Gently place the slices in the hot skillet and fry them until they turn a nice golden brown.

 + Delicious acai topping:

  • Let one scoop of acai melt, then stir until smooth.

  • Add a touch of sweetness with a few spoonfuls of maple syrup.

  • Gently pour the acai sauceover the crispy slices.
